MRC gives back during the holidays!

This holiday season MRC will partner with a San Diego non-profit New Alternatives to bring you the MRC Holiday Giving Tree.  Little Italy San Diego has partnered with New Alternatives to do the Holiday Toy Drive for foster children the last few years and last year MRC joined in lending some extra support, so we can provide specials gifts for these children and teens who would have minimal, if any, gifts during the holidays.

 

MRC was so amazing  last year, so many kind hearts and wonderful gifts for the Foster Children. We will be again collecting gifts children ages (0-18) both boys and girls this year, New Alternatives has sent over a wish list with what the children would like our holiday tree will feature these,  however these are just a guideline request and anything would be appreciated.. MRC SD will have a tree in lobby next to Amanda’s desk by Thursday for you to put your gifts under.  Please make sure gifts are unwrapped and that you bring your gift in by no later than noon Tuesday, December 17, so that we deliver all the gifts with ample time for them to be distributed to the kids. 

 

New Alternatives, Incorporated (NAI) is a private, nonprofit corporation that was founded in San Diego, California in 1978. The mission of New Alternatives is  to provide culturally competent and family focused services to child victims of abuse, neglect and abandonment. The population served are some of San Diego's most vulnerable children.

MRC Smart Technology Solutions Designated as a Top Workplace Excellence Winner Finalist

San Diego, CA – November 8, 2013. The UT San Diego (Union Tribune) announces MRC in the top ten as a winner of the Top Workplace Excellence Award in the midsize category.

The Top Workplaces are determined based solely on employee feedback that is emailed out and conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. WorkplaceDynamics conducts regional Top Workplaces programs with 40 major publishing partners across the United States. Over the past year, more than 5,000 organizations and 1 in every 88 employees in the U.S. have turned to WorkplaceDynamics to better understand what’s on the minds of their employees. Through its workplace improvement offerings, WorkplaceDynamics provides solutions, training and tools to help clients improve their workplace. MRC had 72 San Diego based employee responses to the survey. Using the surveys the company's "score" is determined.

Top Workplaces is an evaluation of regional companies by their employees. Workplace Excellence Awards is an evaluation of regional company HR practices that contributed to the proper execution or implementation of a strategic business strategy resulting in a positive bottom line impact. Results were judged by a 3^rd party non-biased panel of HR experts.

Awards were presented in the small, medium, and large company categories with an overall grand award for which all sizes of business entrants are eligible. Each organization that is nominated is asked to substantiate the nomination by completing an in-depth application that is available through the San Diego SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management) website. All applications are prescreened before going to the judging panel to ensure minimal compliance with the information requested in the application.

The event took place last night, Thursday, November 7^th at the Hilton, La Jolla Torrey Pines from 4:00pm – 7:00pm. MRC will be published in a special section of the UT San Diego newspaper today, Friday November 8^th, 2013.
